The Little Prince By: Antoine De Saint Exupery Science Fiction             A golden haired little prince finds himself in a vast Sahara where his pilot has unfortunately landed because of engine problems. The pilot is frantically trying to mend the aircraft because he doesn’t have supplies to survive for very long. The boy politely asks the piolet to draw him a sheep. The piolet makes numerous attempts to draw this sheep, and pleases the boy after drawing a box that the sheep is inside.             The piolet then gets to know the little prince better hearing his stories about traveling and where he lives. He learns about the asteroid the little prince lives upon. He learns that the little prince has a fondness of a rose. The rose tells lies and makes the prince unhappy, so the little prince decided to leave the planet where the rose dwelt. He later explains his journeys from asteroid to asteroid. Winnie The Pooh By: A.A. Milne Fantasy             This book is a collection of children’s stories by A.A. Milne. It was written about his young son, Christopher Robins toys who were the basis for the characters. The main character, Winnie-the-Pooh is a sweet natured, loving, yellow bear. He lives in a forest with his friends, Piglet, Owl, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, and Roo.             Pooh gets himself stuck in a ton of sticky situations, always involving honey. He is very clumsy when he is trying to get honey from bee’s nests. But he is also kind hearted; he helps his friends no matter the situation.             With bossy Rabbit, know it all Owl, and all of Pooh’s other friends they go on many adventures with Christopher Robin. Christopher Robin has a magical childhood with his toys coming to life. This is my absolute favorite children’s book of all time. My mother read these stories to me almost every night. I remember the

The Neverending Story Michael Ende Fantasy This novel begins with the hero, Bastian Balthazar Bux, he steals a book and hides in the school attic to dive into. He has an unhappy life, and wants to escape it. So he ends up skipping class after getting caught up in the story. The book is about a place named Fantastica, and the Nothings are trying to conquer it. Atreyu and his friend Falkor and other amazing characters search for a way to stop the Nothings, but they can’t find anything to stop them. Only a human can save Fantastica by believing in the book and the place called fantastica. They would become the Childlike empress.             Bastian becomes this hero, he believes and goes inside the novel. He creates the book by his wishes for the next half of the novel. When he does this, he finds himself making foolish and selfish wishes. When he realizes this, he decides to return to his former world where he returns the stolen book, and returns home to his father.
