I am Albert Einstein
By: Brad Meltzer
Illustrated by: Christopher Eliopoulos
Non-Fiction
This book starts by speaking about Albert Einstein’s
childhood, and why he was so curious. As a child, he had a compass that always
pointed north, and this intrigued him. He was so curious he wanted to figure as
much as he could out, and so he did. He had a different pattern of thinking,
the books says he thought in pictures rather than words. He wanted to figure
out the secrets of the universe. Most thought he was crazy and just a dreamer,
but his determination caused him to become one of the most famous and well
known scientists in the world.
This is a great informational book, as well as an
inspirational book. It can inspire students to never give up on their dreams,
while also inform them about Albert Einstein’s life. I am a huge fan of this
series, I think reading pieces of these books to students often can expand their
knowledge on so many different levels. This book has a bit more complicated
terms, so I would think it is aimed towards children above 3rd grade
to read.
