Tadpole to Frog
By: American Museum of Natural History
Non-Fiction
This is a book all about a frog’s stages of life. Literally from
a tadpole to a frog. The book begins by explaining what a tadpole is, and what
they do. Then the book shows pictures of the frogs stages. In a certain place
of the book it has different sized pages for each of the stages of the tadpole
going smallest to biggest. In the end the book tells children what frogs do
once they have transformed.
This book reminded me of something that Eric Carle may do
because of the way the book flipped from page to page getting bigger and
bigger. That’s why I picked this book to do, cause I thought it was intriguing.
This book is a great visual tool for ESL students, and I think it would be god
for ages 1st-4th grade.
